Job Opportunity: IDEX Fellowship in Social Enterprise

The field of social enterprise offers few opportunities for aspiring practitioners to obtain practical field experience across the full depth and breadth of an enterprise. The IDEX Fellowship is a paid professional development program for recent graduates interested in social entrepreneurship and impact investment. Participants work alongside school owners who serve low-income communities in the Affordable Private School (APS) sector. There are over 90,00 schools in India that are run by entrepreneurs, charge $4-8 in monthly tuition, and serve 40% of India’s children.
Fellows spend 10 months partnering with entrepreneurs to improve and develop business operations within their school. In addition to writing a business plan and preparing an implementation plan, fellows are paired with local organizations for additional assignments in social enterprise.
