Teach for China Information Session

tfchinaTeach for China (TFC) is a non-profit organization established in 2008. It takes an unique approach in eliminating education inequality in China by enlisting the U.S. and China’s university graduates. The information session will cover the topics on experiences in the fellowship and the recruitment process.

Urban Teacher Center Information Session

utcUrban Teacher Center (UTC) is cultivating the most effective and accountable teachers in the nation who will transform learning for America’s most underserved students.

UTC significantly accelerates student achievement in the nation’s highest-need schools by recruiting outstanding teacher candidates, equipping them with state-of-art training, and linking certification directly to student performance. Over time, UTC graduates will be among the most expert and results-oriented teachers in the nation. They will assume leadership roles and exemplify the public case for better teacher preparation and educator accountability.

I am the Civic Engagement Fellow for 2013-2014. While a student at Wesleyan I double majored in Psychology and Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and completed a joint thesis during my senior year. I am interested in issues of social justice, mental health, media, and global welfare.
