Venture for America, Tutor in Thailand, and the High Mountain Institute

Coming back from break, we will be in our last stretch before the end of the semester! Don’t forget to take advantage of some of the incredible opportunities the Career Center is offering:

ventureforamericaVenture for America: Venture for America is a 2-year fellowship program that sends young, talented graduates to startups in emerging cities (ie. Cincinnati, Detroit, New Orleans, Providence, Las Vegas), with the goal of mobilizing them as entrepreneurs moving forward. We recruit the best and brightest recent college graduates, provide them with training and mentorship, and place them at partner startups to help build those organizations. This is an opportunity for students who want to learn how to build companies. (Deadline: Monday, December 2nd)

Jelisa Adair

I am the Civic Engagement Fellow for 2013-2014. While a student at Wesleyan I double majored in Psychology and Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and completed a joint thesis during my senior year. I am interested in issues of social justice, mental health, media, and global welfare.
