Winter break is the perfect time to get ahead on some applications! Here are a few deadlines heading your way:

CarnegieEndowmentIntnlPeace1Junior Fellows Program: The Carnegie Endowment Junior Fellows Program provides an opportunity for 8-10 students who desire careers in international affairs to have a substantive one-year working experience in Washington, D.C. Junior Fellows provide research assistance to Associates working on Carnegie Endowment programs. (Deadline: Friday, December 20th at 11:59p)

 

Charles C. Alexander Teacher-Intern Program: This program at Groton school serves recent college graduates interested in working under supervision to develop the varied skills required of secondary boarding school teachers. The program offers as wide an exposure as possible to all aspects of life at the school. (Deadline: Tuesday, December 31st)

 

matchMatch Corps: Boston: Match Corps: Boston is a one-year, full-time residential fellowship program. It pairs Corps members with 6-7 students at Match High School, Match Middle School, Match Next or Match Community Day Elementary School. Corps members run small group or 1-on-1 tutorials, working to guarantee the academic success of Match students while building personal relationships with the students and their parents. This full-time service year program is designed to fully close the academic achievement gap between minority students and their non-minority peers, one student at a time. (Deadline: Tuesday, December 31st)

 

NYCTFNYC Teaching Fellows Program: The NYC Teaching Fellows program is preparing a critical mass of exceptional teachers committed to a better future for the NYC students. Our teachers go where they are needed the most – they teach in urban neighborhoods, where too many children have fallen behind and are struggling to catch up. (Deadline: Tuesday, December 31st)

I am the Civic Engagement Fellow for 2013-2014. While a student at Wesleyan I double majored in Psychology and Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and completed a joint thesis during my senior year. I am interested in issues of social justice, mental health, media, and global welfare.
