Work with reSET as a Program Manager

resetreSET (Social Enterprise Trust) is working to promote, preserve and protect Social Enterprise and to make Connecticut a hub of social enterprise. A Social Enterprise is any organization that uses business models to solve community problems. It’s a new hybrid business type that recognizes the power of business harnessed to purpose before profit. reSET is a growing organization actively involved in advocacy, education, and promotion of social enterprise in our state.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Program Director with the design, implementation, and adaptation of reSET’s social enterprise support programs.
  • Build collaborative relationships and networks to contribute to the creation, growth, and sustainability of programs
  • Support strategic vision and the sustainability of programming
  • Serve as an ambassador of the programs both internally and externally, creating visibility, credibility and results while building strong relationships
  • Build on pilot programs and programming initiatives to drive additional impact through program replication, growth, and/or creation of additional programming
  • Facilitating or assisting with the facilitation of programs
  • Assisting with intake for program participants, and keeping program participants engaged in reSET’s network
  • Developing a system for tracking participant progress through programs, and managing requests for both formal and individual business development services
  • Prepare, present and/or participate in public information presentations
  • Spearhead new programming initiatives that reSET has proposed for the 2014 program agenda

Qualifications

  • Experience in developing and implementing programs that focus on business development
  • Experience in facilitating meetings and educational programs
  • Business experience or broad knowledge and experience in business development
  • Ability to cultivate resources that support the success and sustainability of programs
  • An open, creative and problem solving attitude.
  • Candidate must be visionary, creative, self- initiate actions and highly motivated
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including strong writing skills and a proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with representatives of community-based organizations and community business leaders
  • Ability to prioritize multiple and constantly changing tasks, as well as the flexibility to work effectively in either a team environment or independently
  • Analytical skills and the ability to identify and utilize information resources
  • Commitment to the mission, values and goals of reSET
  • Experience in producing well-conceived and well executed educational events

Education/Certifications

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
