Job description below:

Arts Administration Intern, Oddfellows Playhouse Youth Theater
The Arts Administration Intern will work with Executive Artistic Director Dic Wheeler and Managing Director Kate Pulino to assist in many aspects of the Playhouse’s administration, development and marketing. Specific tasks will be assigned based on the intern’s interests and abilities, as well as the most pressing needs of the organization during the summer months. Work areas may include marketing and publicity for summer and fall programs; assistance in grant writing and donor management; managing class rosters and program evaluation; basic graphic design; postering and flyering; public events; box office management; fielding phone calls and emails; updating our web site; communicating with clients through email and social media; and general office tasks.
Oddfellows is a relatively small organization with a small core staff, but ambitious goals and very active programs. The intern will be a key member of the staff during the summer months and will be expected to take on real responsibilities, to be creative, punctual, reliable, and to be able to take initiative as well as follow directions. They will participate in staff meetings, planning, and will be supervised and mentored by both the Managing Director and Executive Artistic Director. This is a great opportunity for a young person who is interested in pursuing a career in arts administration and is looking to make an impact with a small non-profit with a 44 year history and a strong commitment to arts, education and social justice.
Prospective dates and hours: June 3 – August 9. Monday through Friday, 11 am – 4 pm, with some flexibility and some possible evening hours. 25 hours per week.
