Center for Prison Education hiring tutors for 2020-2021

The Center for Prison Education is now accepting applications for tutors for the 2020-2021 academic year! Tutors travel with CPE staff to Cheshire or York Correctional Institution for one three-hour study hall session each week for an entire semester, working individually with students on coursework in a wide range of disciplines.
During this time, tutors meet individually with students about their coursework and provide academic support as needed. The ideal candidate has teaching or tutoring experience, has completed advanced academic work, and practices professional behavior when working with vulnerable populations.

Paid opportunities to tutor for CPE are available for work-study students. If you are interested in learning more about this opportunity, please indicate your work-study eligibility on your completed application.
