At the raceJoin team Gilead to support Gilead Community Services, Inc at the Middletown 4-mile Road Race on Sunday, April 3rd. Team Gilead will be made up of clients, staff, families, and community members to run/walk. To join Team Gilead, please email Lucy McMillan at lmcmillan@gileadcs.org.

Gilead Community Services has been providing housing, support services and clinical treatment to individuals with mental illness throughout Middlesex County, Connecticut since 1968. Gilead offers a continuum of services to foster recovery from mental illness, including general counseling for individuals and families through our outpatient clinic in Middletown, as well as very intensive community-based programs that offer case management and rehabilitation services to individuals who live independently and would benefit from regular clinical and support services.

Screen Shot 2016-03-03 at 11.09.25 AMThere is a $25 race registration fee, BUT if you raise $100 or more for Team Gilead, Gilead Community Services will reimburse your registration fee! Team Gilead set a goal to raise $10,000 for mental health care services through the Middletown Road Race. Even if you are not running on April 3rd, you can donate to support that goal through their Crowd Rise page here. 

As of March 3rd, Team Gilead has raised $4,455 of their $10,000 goal!

You can register for a half marathon or 4-mile that begins at 11:30am, or a Kids Fun Run at 10:45am!

Jennifer Roach is the Civic Engagement Fellow in Allbritton for the academic year 2015-2016. She is a recent Wesleyan alumni, class of 2014. Since graduating, she has moved to Hartford to continue developing Summer of Solutions Hartford, an urban farming internship program she worked on during her time at Wesleyan.
