Trail Construction Workshop!
WesCFPA Trail Construction WorkshopSaturday, September 28
9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Cockaponset State Forest, Haddam, CT
Want to expand your trail skills and earn the envy of your peers? Come on down and joinWesCFPA for a hands-on training day in the Cockaponset State Forest! We will work on finishing a reroute of a multi-use trail that consists almost entirely of benched (sidehilled) trail. We will view the existing trail and talk about why it failed, the considerations required for a multi-use vs. hiking trail, how the trail was laid out and how to bench the trail. Then we will build benched trail!

Meet at Allbritton at 8:40 am! It’s only a 20-minute drive from Wesleyan. The workshop goes until1 pm but we can leave whenever we want.
