Dear students, parents, alumni, colleagues, and friends,
We are excited to support the second annual WEServe Week of Service, and we hope you will join us.
WEServe seeks members of the Wesleyan community around the world to organize service projects during MLK Week (January 19-25, 2014) and submit them here. Wesleyan will publicize the list of projects and seek other Wes people to pitch in.
Last year, there were 39 projects in 17 cities internationally. We hope to double those numbers this year, but we can only do it with your help. Last year’s projects included gardening, feeding, reading, sewing, painting, and much more. Check out the map and photos to get a sense of the scope.
To learn more and register your project, visit http://wesconnect.wesleyan.edu/weserve, and please help us spread the word by sharing this link with your Wesleyan networks via social media and email.
Thank you in advance for your support,
Makaela Kingsley ’98, Director of Wesleyan’s Patricelli Center for Social Entrepreneurship (PCSE)
Cathy Lechowicz, Director of Wesleyan’s Center for Community Partnerships
Jelisa Adair ’13, Civic Engagement Coordinator, Wesleyan University
Miranda Linsky ’14, WesCFPA (Connecticut Forest & Park Association) Coordinator
