Employment Opportunities at ARTFARM

ARTFARM will be producing King Lear July 17 – 27 for our ninth season of Shakespeare in the Grove, and we are looking to fill several key positions:

Administrative Interns: This summer we will be hiring two Interns to help make the Magic happen. These paid positions are at the heart of producing and marketing the production and events around it. Both Interns will start May 27 and work through July 30. Hard work, great fun, learn a lot and be hands-on at the rudder of a professional outdoor production of one of Shakespeare’s greatest works.

Resume and cover letter are due March 3.

For details see www.artfarm.org/internships.

Actors: Auditions for actors will be Thursday, March 6 and Friday , March 7, 6 – 9 p.m. Every summer we flesh out the ARTFARM Core Ensemble with actors from around Connecticut and New York. As this is King Lear we are specifically in need of talented MEN who have experience performing Shakespeare. All actors are paid a stipend; some Equity contracts may be available. Actors must pre-register for one of the two auditions and plan to stay for the entire three hours.

For details see www.art-farm.org/auditions.

Technical Director: We are looking to hire an experienced Technical Director for this production. Accepting resumes until we find the right person.

Stage Manager: Stage Manager starts May 27 and works Monday through Thursday evenings through June (plus production meetings, etc.), then gets more intense in July as we approach the opening on July 17. Again, we will be looking at resumes of both Equity and Non-Equity Stage Managers until we find the right match.

If you are interested in either of these paid production staff positions, please contact ARTFARM directly at info@art-farm.org.

Thanks for your help! See you at the Shakespeare Slam and Elizabethan Bash on Saturday, May 10!
