Come meet with the members of this panel to learn more about the curricula, admissions criteria and the diversity of areas of study within their public health programs.
Public health has as a goal the monitoring of health indicators, developing interventions, assessing risk factors and educating communities in order to improve health and quality of life through prevention and awareness of behavioral modification. Examples of public health initiatives and promotion include vaccinations, diabetes prevention though healthy eating and exercise, prevention of disease through hand washing, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases/infections and many others. Come learn how public health specialists are trained to work within healthcare teams.
