From community partner, Rockfall Foundation:
Internship – Rockfall Foundation Intern
Duration: Flexible: Minimum 2 months
Location: 27 Washington Street, Middletown, CT
Salary: Unpaid.
The Rockfall Foundation is seeking an intern starting immediately to help with the foundation’s management of 2018 programming and foundation communications.
The intern will be responsible for helping to manage social media and online communications as well as helping to plan and promote events, including our monthly Meet Your Greens: Green Drinks happy hour, public service efforts, such as river clean ups, hikes, and other events.
Those interested in sustainability, environmental issues in Connecticut, and communications are encouraged to apply. Basic web knowledge (Twitter, Facebook, WordPress, and Constant Contact) is required, as are good writing and research skills.
This internship is unpaid, but is an excellent opportunity to gain research and communications experience and make connections with the CT environmental community. Interns will also be encouraged to be creative—managing a program that they conceive. Hours are flexible, but the internship will likely require 10-15 hours per week for approximately 2 to 6 months. For those interested in a longer-term internship, that is possible.
About the Rockfall Foundation: The Rockfall Foundation supports environmental education, conservation, and planning in the Lower Connecticut River Valley. As one of Connecticut’s oldest environmental organizations, its mission is to be a catalyst—bringing people together and supporting organizations to conserve and enhance the region’s natural environment.
