Check out these kid-friendly opportunities going on during summer 2019:
Summer Adventures at Wesleyan RJ Julia
The bookstore is hosting a number of events for kids of all ages throughout the summer. Attend a Choose-Your-Own Path Writing Workshop, a Where’s Waldo Celebration, a Harry Potter Maze and more. For high school age youth and older, there are free Open Mic Nights, Philosophy Nights, author events and more!

Cognitive Development Labs
The labs’ research projects explore how young children perceive, learn about, and think about the world. They use simple (and fun) games to find out more about how kids think about numbers, space, language, and people. They are currently looking for local families and children 11 years and younger to participate in studies throughout the summer and academic year. Kindergarten Kickstart
Join Wesleyan students who will be running Kindergarten Kickstart’s high-quality, engaging activities at Russell Library. New activities each week – look for math, art, science, and more!
3-6 age (preschool – Kindergarten), siblings welcome

iD Tech Summer Camps
At iD Tech, kids and teens of all skill levels discover coding, AI, machine learning, film, robotics, and game design, developing the in-demand skills needed to compete in Connecticut’s booming startup scene. There are multiple weeklong courses for youth aged 7-17, with both day and overnight camp options.

Sports Camps
Wesleyan Athletics hosts a number of residential and day camps for soccer, squash, basketball, football, volleyball, and baseball. Camps for athletes in grades 3-12.

Summer at the Center for the Arts
The Center for the Arts will host a number of free all-ages events this summer from outdoor performances by Phat A$tronaut and Bread and Puppet Theater to noontime talks with actors, artists, and creatives.

Films on Foss
Join us on Foss Hill for an outdoor movie series created by the Middletown Mayoral Youth Cabinet. All events start at 7:00 pm with a community picnic with games and food trucks, and the movies start at 8:30 pm. This year’s films are Princess and the Frog, Black Panther and the Goonies.
