The Jewett Center will host a meet-and-greet with Dr. Rosemary Ostfeld on September 23, 4:30-5:30 p.m. in Allbritton 311. All are welcome. Students, faculty, staff, and community members with an interest in social entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability, and food systems are especially encouraged to attend. Dr. Rosemary Ostfeld
Rosemary is an interdisciplinary environmental scientist and National Geographic Explorer. She completed a BA/MA in Biology and Earth and Environmental Sciences at Wesleyan University, an MPhil in Environmental Policy, and a PhD in Land Economy at the University of Cambridge as a Cambridge Trust Scholar. Her research focuses on renewable energy, and sustainable food systems. At her startup company, she is working to develop an online platform to help people purchase food directly from local farms and transition to a healthy and environmentally sustainable diet.
