Volunteer with New Haven Help with COVID

From Devin Osborne MALS ’14:

Please consider signing up to be a volunteer on NewHavenHelpWithCovid.com. As a direct response to the sharply increased need for volunteers during COVID and ongoing economic crisis, current Yale Forestry student and former Wesleyan GLSP alum Devin Osborne (MA 2014) and colleagues launched NewHavenHelpWithCovid.com, a partnership platform that matches volunteers with remote and in-person opportunities at local nonprofits in Greater New Haven. Since launch, more than 500 volunteers with various skills from mask-making and grocery delivery to social media management and computer programming have signed up, and more than 20 local nonprofits have successfully found the help they need.

The partnership platform is a tool designed to facilitate community-oriented needs-based responses to COVID and the economic crisis. If you are currently outside of Greater New Haven and believe that your community could benefit from using a similar tool to mobilize and organize volunteers at the grassroots level, please feel free to reach out to Devin Osborne at devin.osborne@yale.edu to explore how your community can adapt and/or adopt the platform.

On the platform, you can filter positions by skills needed and project type.
