Reflective Practice 201 for Wesleyan Tutors and Mentors

Reflective Practice 201 : an event for Wesleyan students who are involved in community service that works with young people through tutoring or mentoring

Reflective Practice is the ongoing reflection on teaching practices that allows us to become more skilled and capable teachers. It is a self-reflexive inquiry. Reflective practice can be aimed at individual practice, but also systems of education.

Wesleyan students are invited to a training led by Amy Grillo, Associate Professor of the Practice in Education Studies. This training is intended to be a follow-up to Amy’s Reflective Practice workshop at the JCCP Volunteer Training. Participants will take a deeper dive into reflective practice and learn how to use it as an ongoing tool in their tutoring and mentoring work. We ask that participants bring one observation from their tutoring and mentoring work to workshop during the event.

Space is limited so please RSVP by Friday, October 29th: https://forms.gle/GRERXiyiQjFS8cJs5
