Oddfellows Playhouse Youth Theater is a local nonprofit community-based, multicultural theater program designed to include children from all backgrounds. Oddfellows is currently looking for volunteers and work-study students to fill several positions both during Winter Break and the Spring semester.
From Dic Wheeler ’81:
Pre-Semester volunteers needed to work with kids at Oddfellows: Oddfellows Playhouse Youth Theater performing arts programs for local kids begin January 14, but most of our regular Teaching Assistants won’t be around for the first few weeks. we are looking for volunteers to help Mondays through Thursdays, 3 – 6 pm from January 14 – 24 (one or more days per week). A great way to meet some fabulous local young people and get your feet wet at Connecticut’s oldest and largest performing arts program for youth! Contact cecilia@oddfellows.org for details.
Assistant Directors and Stage Managers for Youth Theater and Circus productions: Oddfellows is also looking for volunteer Assistant Directors and work-study Stage Managers for three productions this winter & spring — The Servant of Two Masters, the commedia classic by Carlo Goldoni; Circus Botanicus, an original circus-theater piece which takes place in the world of plants; and This Is Important!, an ensemble-created piece with music addressing pressing issues as identified by local teenagers.
