The Resource Center (RC) seeks to support, empower, and engage students with underrepresented and marginalized identities at Wesleyan University. Please support their community initiatives if you are able:
-
Food Pantry: The Resource Center is collecting food for low income and food insecure students for Spring Break. Donation bins are located in the Resource Center (167 High St), in Olin Library, in North College, and in Usdan. Non-canned, non-perishable meal items are preferred (ex. Pasta, rice, microwaveable or boxed dinners).
Collection will carry on throughout the rest of the semester, and students are welcome to come by the Resource Center to pick up any food they may need during Thanksgiving break. The center will be open Wed (11/27) through Saturday (11/30) from 10am-6pm. On Sunday (12/1) we go back to our regular hours of Sun-Thurs 10am-12midnight and Fri & Sat closing at 6pm.
-
Clothing Drive: The Resource Center hosts a Clothing Swap Social on the first Friday of every month. If you have any gently used or new clothing, accessories, or shoes that you think could be used by students, please drop them off at the Resource Center. We are particularly in need of Winter clothing, heavy coats, and men’s clothing items. Donation bins are located in the Resource Center (167 High St), in Olin Library, in North College, and in Usdan.
