Unreasonable Institute is an annual 5-week bootcamp for 12 carefully-selected social ventures. The 2014 Unreasonable Global session takes place from May 30 to July 6 in Boulder, Colorado. Attendees receive a customized curriculum, unparalleled mentorship, access to capital, and a robust support network. Francesca Jones ’12 attended last summer, and Joy Anderson ’89 is an Unreasonable mentor. Further details are below, and you can read more at http://unreasonableinstitute.org/apply/.
WHAT
The Unreasonable Institute Global program is dedicated to tackling the world’s biggest problems by giving an “unfair advantage” to entrepreneurs creating solutions to the world’s biggest social and environmental problems. The goal is to help ventures meaningfully impact the lives of over 1 million people. We select approximately 12 ventures from every corner of the globe to become Unreasonable Fellows. Each Unreasonable Fellow receives a deep, customized curriculum tailored to help their venture get the resources to overcome obstacles, build a stronger business, and go to scale. Specifically, we arm them with the mentorship, capital, and robust support network to help them tackle any problem thrown at them.
ELIGIBILITY
Have a venture addressing a massive social or environmental problem, currently working full-time on the development of your venture, able to attend the entire summer 2014 session, 18 years or older
COST
$12,000 per team or $10,000 per entrepreneur (includes: food, housing, events, ongoing alumni support, etc.) All 82 entrepreneurs who have attended the Institute in the past 4 years have crowd-funded this tuition with help from the Unreasonable Institute’s Marketplace.
