Shereem Herdon-Brown has vast experience in helping student pursue their next steps. As the Founder & Director of Strategic Admissions Advice, he helps students make great choices for their next steps. In this presentation, he will cover options for educational or career next steps for entrepreneurs and change makers, while sharing tips and tricks to prepare students for what the future holds.
As a dynamic leader, educational strategist, emerging author and speaker, Shereem Herdon-Brown’s experiences in the field of college admission are unparalleled. As an educator for almost twenty years and entrepreneur for almost a decade, he has helped many students and families to navigate through the often frustrating “maze” of college admission. Before he set out on this purpose-filled assignment, he worked as an Admissions Officer at Georgetown University and a college counselor at Westtown School (PA) and Riverdale Country School (NYC) where he was internally promoted to be the Director of Middle and Upper School Admission. Having worked on “both sides of the desk”, Shereem has a unique perspective that few counselors can claim. He has his finger on the pulse of what is most important to families and is consistently strategic in his approach to helping students to create choices. He graduated from Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s degree in English and African American Studies and has a Masters of Arts degree from the Breadloaf School of English at Middlebury College.
