Social Entrepreneurship at Wesleyan
Tuesday, February 9
12-1 p.m.
Panelists: TBA
Location: PAC001
Here at Wesleyan, we use a broad definition of ‘social entrepreneurship.’ Our students are tackling pressing issues by launching new projects and ventures (entrepreneurship), bringing innovation to existing teams and organizations (intrapreneurship), and applying their interdisciplinary academic work to time-tested tools such as activism and community organizing (changemaking). We value responsible community partnerships, professionalism, and organizational sustainability in our work.
During this panel, we will hear from current undergraduate entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, and changemakers who are tacking issues that they care about and working towards lasting social change.
We will welcome visitors from Metropolitan Learning Center high school in Bloomfield, CT, who will be visiting campus that day. There will be ample time for Q&A.
Lunch will be served for those who register.
