The Patricelli Center for Social Entrepreneurship presents
Learn to Commit: a free one-day coding bootcamp for women
Saturday, January 30
8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
Presented by Susan Danziger, Albert Wenger, Katie Wenger, and Michael Wenger
Location: Exley 24/7 Study Room (subject to change)
If you’ve come here for relationship advice, you’ve come to the right place. That is, if you’re looking to relate better to computers.
“Learn to Commit” is a one day computer boot camp that teaches you the basics of computer programming. You’ll learn to use a text editor, commit to a git repository, upload your code to a server and publish your own website.
The workshop is offered especially for female and female-identifying members of the Wesleyan community, but all are welcome. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, and space is limited. All registrants will be expected to do an assignment in advance of the workshop, and we ask that there are no cancellations except in extenuating circumstances. Breakfast, lunch, and snacks will be provided.
The workshop has currently reached capacity, but we may be able to open up additional slots later.
