newLogo_980x530The Office of Community Service is collaborating with Campus Compact and Wesleyan University to organize the Social Justice Leadership Conference. Staff and students from seven public and private institutions are members of the 2015 conference planning committee. The theme this year is Unmasking Social Change.

The conference will take place on Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 9:00am-4:30pm. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided for all attendees. Colleges and universities rotate hosting the conference and this year we are hosting it here at Wesleyan!

Screen Shot 2015-08-24 at 12.48.19 PMThe one-day conference seeks to create a dedicated space and platform for students who are committed to community service, civic engagement, social justice, and social change. The 2015 conference theme of Unmasking Social Change is designed to provide a framework where students examine their motivations for social justice and service, enhance their understanding of social issues, and increase their capacity and skills to positively impact their campus and community.
