Hey seniors! Don’t forget about these important deadlines coming your way:

Boston Teacher Residency: We know that teaching is incredibly hard, complex work. We also recognize the paramount importance of this work for our youth, and have pioneered a model of urban teacher preparation that is designed to carefully recruit and select a diverse cohort of talented individuals who are committed to teaching, and to provide them with an effective, supportive, and affordable pathway to becoming an exceptional educator for Boston’s children and families. Since 2003, we’ve prepared over 400 teachers who are working together across to the city to fulfill what we believe should be a basic promise of our democracy: a quality public education for every child. That promise starts with great teachers.(Deadline: Tuesday, November 12)

City YearCity Year was founded in 1988 on the belief that young people can change the world. City Year is an education focused, nonprofit organization that unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service to keep students in school and on track to graduation. At City Year’s 25 locations across the United States and two international affiliates, teams of young people called corps members serve full-time in schools for the academic year as tutors, mentors and role models.  By focusing on attendance, behavior and course performance, which identify students who are at risk of dropping out, corps members are uniquely able to help students and schools succeed. (Deadline: Friday, November 15)
