Teaching Fellow, King’s Academy: The King’s Academy Teaching Fellow program exists to train new teachers, offer them an opportunity at actual classroom teaching and all the duties associated with a boarding school, and provide a supportive seminar in which the novice teachers meet with veteran teachers and discuss issues, strategies, techniques, readings, and their writings about the teaching profession. Successful candidates, who will be supervised and mentored by the Dean of the Faculty, will teach 8 to 12 periods per week, attend school meetings, supervise up to three sit-down meals per week, involved in two seasons of a co-curricular activity for four days a week, attend programmatic school events, provide weekend coverage for full boarders, and supervise dorm and/or study hall up to two evenings per week. Meridian Institute Fellowship: Meridian Institute is pleased to announce position openings within the Meridian Institute Fellowship Program – an opportunity for recent college graduates to work on varied and highly complex public policy issues, learn about the field of multi-party collaborative problem solving, and engage with leaders from a variety of sectors and interest groups. Meridian Institute has two offices (Washington DC and Dillon, CO) and fellows may be placed in either office, depending on staffing needs and their preferences.Meridian Institute professionals combine extensive  experience in collaborative process design, deep substantive knowledge, and proven mediation skills to help people engaged in society’s toughest issues to solve problems and make informed decisions. At Meridian, we design collaborative approaches that bring together people who understand the issues and have a stake in their resolution. In addition to process design, facilitation, mediation, and strategy assessment and planning, Meridian offers expert administrative and meeting logistics services and the creative and appropriate application of information technology tools, to support our projects. Community Liaison for the Office of Council Member Daniel R. Garodnick: The Community Liaison will serve as the Council Member’s principal liaison to a geographic area in the district. The Community Liaison will be responsible for addressing all constituent concerns from one particular neighborhood within the district. Constituent services will include managing case work with individual constituents, coordinating with City and State agencies, and responding to constituent correspondence. The position will also entail work on special community and policy projects for the Council Member’s office. The Community Liaison will accompany the Council Member to events, assist with the preparation and execution of the Council Member’s schedule, and manage the Council Member’s correspondence and phone calls. The Community Liaison will also update and maintain the Council Member’s website. A college degree is required. Applicants must be firmly committed to assisting the office of Council Member Garodnick in its role as local representative to approximately 160,000 constituents. The ideal, successful candidate will have exceptional analytical skills and strong research, organizational, and writing skills. The applicant should be highly organized, focused, willing to work long hours, including some weekends, and eager to be in a highly collaborative work environment.
